    Projectwise Interplot Organizer Compatibility with Windows 8

    This is the error I get when trying to create multiple cross section plots from a single file.  About 200 sheets or so.  If I use an old computer that has Windows 7 on it still, the plots create without an issue.  But with Windows 8 (64) it won't work.  Is there a fix for this?

    MEMERR, Cannot allocate 156088 bytes of memory
    READERR, Error reading file C:\Users\rwmorton\AppData\Local\Temp\ipg36D6.tmp\ka155302rxs-0116.i
    - No error

    Thank you,

    Bob Morton

      The current release of ProjectWise InterPlot Organizer has not been certified against Windows 8. Our next version will be certified against it as well as Windows 10. If you send me a private message we can arrange for us to get the data and test it.

      So when is the expected release of this new version?

      I don't have a specific date but the plan is to release it some time after MicroStation CONNECT edition is released.
      In the mean time you may try adding the following variables to the iplot.cfg
      IPLOT_IGNORE_REFS_OUTSIDE_PLOTAREA = true
      Values: TRUE/FALSE
      Description: This purpose of the variable is to reduce the size of an IPARM and it is typically used when creating IPARMs from GEOPAK created DGN files. When set to TRUE, IPLOT ignores (and will not add to the IPARM) reference files whose clip boundaries do not intersect the IPARM's plot area. When set to FALSE, all reference files are added to the IPARM.
      Notes: If the reference file is unclipped it is always included in the IPARM.

      IPLOT_IGNORE_NONDISPLAYED_REFS = true
      Values: TRUE/FALSE
      Description: This variable determines whether or not IPLOT collects and stores information about reference files that are not displayed in MicroStation, in the IPARM. When set to TRUE, information about non-displayed reference files is not collected. When set to FALSE, information about non-displayed references is collected. The default is FALSE.
      Notes: The purpose of this variable is to reduce the size of the IPARM.

      This answer worked. I only had to change one other variable not listed here. In the iplot.cfg file I had to change this variable: IPLOT_SHAPE_LIMIT = 50
      I changed it to 500.
      This controls the maximum number of plot shapes a single dgn can contain that Organizer will process.
