    ProjectWise Interplot Organizer DWG Integration

    Hello,

Trying to create a multi-page PDF from DWGs. The DWGs plot fine to PDF usnig ICS in PW Explorer, when I create an IPS file in ProjectWise Interplot Organizer (8.11.11.56), the dwgs are added, but I do no PDF is created (if I put the IPS file in PW Explorer that does not work either), If I try to preview the DWG I get a "This metafile contains no elements" message.
One thing - If I open PW Organizer Config, I do not see AutoCAD as an option (I have both 2014 and 2016 loaded)

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Tom F.

Are you using the same settings file (specified by the Presentation rendition component when the DWG plots using iCS) when adding the DWG files to InterPlot Organizer? It sounds like it's not finding the correct plot area.

      Hi Dawn,
I recreated the IPS file by going to DOCUMENT > NEW > PLOT SET in PW Explorer.
Now, if I open my ips file from ProjectWise and use ProjectWise Interplot Oganizer, I can create the Multi-sheet PDF file just fine.
When I right click on the ips and select CREATE RENDITION, the job is submitted to the queue, but doesn't plot.
I double checked my settings file, I am using the same .set file for the Rendition and PW Iplot Organizer.
      Anything else I can check?
      Thanks,
      Tom F.

      Tom,
Does the just start and run in iCS? Are you getting an email notification, any errors? The ips file would not use the .set file so that should not be a problem. Do other renditions work?
      Dawn

      Dawn,
Job submits OK, I can't see what the server is doing, but there are no warning or error e-mails until the job is deleted from the rendition queue and I get a "Terminated by Administrator" e-mail.

Single file renditions work OK (can even print an entire folder to single PDFs), I tested an ips file that has dgns in it and it stuck in the queue as well.

      Tom,
Make sure the printer set in the ips file exists on the iCS server... or save the ips file using the ProjectWise Dynamic Composition Printer selected (this is the printer that is used by default for iCS).
