Any word on when those will be out?

Thanks,

Our goal has traditionally been to allow client workstations to be one version older than the plot servers to allow groups of client computers to be upgraded in phases. We have traditionally done this by designing the data streams sent to the plot server to be upwardly compatible. We don't really certify the opposite situation of "newer (CONNECT) client" to "older (V8i) InterPlot server". However, that being said, our data formats between client and server did not have any breaking changes that I can think of, so this combination might possibly work (but again is not something we have tested).

Regarding the InterPlot driver products, the situation depends a bit on the operating systems being used. Our currently released InterPlot driver products were not certified for the newer client operating systems like Windows 10. Thus, you cannot connect from a Windows 10 client to a Windows 2008 InterPlot Server (that has InterPlot driver queues) and have it work (because the driver pulled from the plot server to the client is not compatible with Windows 10). That is why we are working so hard to get the InterPlot driver products released and updated. But, if you are just going from Windows 7 to a Windows 2008 Server, then that would not be an issue because the InterPlot Driver products support both of those operating systems.

RE: Updated driver packs?

Thanks, that is what I wanted to know.

One other question - will the CONNECT Organizer work with the older V8i Iplot server, including the drivers?

RE: Updated driver packs?

Hi Kevin,
Yes, we are working very hard on completing the InterPlot driver products. We will release them in phases. The InterPlot Driver Pack and Raster Offline Driver packs will be released next. The time frame is several months from now. After that, we will work on the InterPlot Mid-Volume Driver Pack and then InterPlot High Volume Driver Pack.
