Overview

This command produces a report on the quantities using elements located in a defined area.  (Only visible elements will be considered.)

Finding the command

 Civil Reports can be found in a separate docking tab.  These tabs can be relocated all over the user interface.  In the quantity reports select “By Area”, the plus sign appears for “New Report”.  You can also manage the reports into folders by selecting the “Add New Folder” button.

 Once the command is executed the tool settings will appear along with the following prompts:

There are three options to define an area:

• Rectangle
  1. Select two points to define a rectangular area.
• Polygon
  1. Select as many points as it requires to define the appropriate polygon to use.
• Element
  1. Select an element to use it’s extents as the area definition.

 

Right click on or enter to accept the area definition.  The final prompt will be a data point in space to accept all entries and produce the report.

Report

Once the report generation is complete, select the arrow to show the report expanded view.  This view will provide two button options, “Download the Report” which creates a .csv file for use with applications such as Excel, and “Open the Report in a New Window” which displays the report in HTML in a new browser window.
