How does one control the way Organizer's File->Save command behaves witha ProjectWise IPS file?
IP_ORG_PW_UPDATE_SERVERCOPY_ON_SAVE controls the way Organizer'sFile->Save command behaves with a ProjectWise IPS file. Thisvariable also determines whether or not you are prompted to checkin the IPS file when Organizer exits (or switches to another file). When set to "true" the File->Save command will save the IPS file todisk and update the ProjectWise file on the server. Also, Organizerwill automatically check in the IPS file, and free all the filesreferenced by the IPS file, when it exits. This has been thetraditional behavior. When set to "false" the File->Save command will save the IPS file todisk but not update the ProjectWise file on the server. To update thefile in ProjectWise, a separate File->Update Server Copy command hasbeen provided. Also, when this variable is set to "false", Organizerwill not automatically check in the IPS file when it exits. Insteadyou will be prompted to check in the file. Regardless of whether theIPS file is checked in or not, the files referenced by the IPS filewill be freed. The default value is "true".
