    Problem Description

When using a Bentley InterPlot plotter driver, elements with a weight of 0-3 are printing in one of the eight basic colors (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, black, white). The element plots in the basic color with color values closest to the element's color values. Lines that should be printing gray are printing black for example.

    Steps to resolve:
Use the Graphical Attribute Editor to change the Rendering mode or Vector Rendering mode, depending on the driver, to “Full color all”.

    · On the InterPlot server select Start > All Programs > Bentley > ProjectWise InterPlot Utilities > Graphical Attribute Editor

    · Select File > Open Default > select the Printer > OK

    · Change the Rendering Mode or Vector Rendering Mode from “Full color above pixel threshold" (default) to “Full color all”

    · Select File > Save as Default, answer Yes in the Information dialog

    Rendering Mode

The Rendering Mode field controls how the dithering or screening process affects individual elements. For example, if you set the Vector Halftoning attribute to Order dither, you might want to apply the dither method to all elements or only the elements above the pixel threshold.

    Available Rendering Mode settings are:
Full Color Above Pixel Threshold applies dither or screen patterns to all elements above the pixel threshold.
Note: Setting the pixel threshold too low can result in thin lines that have a light pattern associated with them, thus making them invisible.
Full Color All applies dither or screen patterns to all elements.
Solid Plot plots all elements in one of the eight basic colors (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, black, white). The element plots in the basic color with color values closest to the element's color values.
Solid Linestrings plots only linestrings in one of the eight basic colors (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, black, white). The linestring plots in the basic color with color values closest to the linestring's color values. (This option does not affect polygon fills.)
