Problem

The created PDF file from a word document, which contains raster images, is very large, when the PDF Creator Application is Ghostscript instead of the recommended application Adobe Acrobat.

Solution

Ghostscript allows some PDF creation settings that can reduce the size of the PDF file.

Using Ghostscript 9.16, it was possible to reduce the files size by 80% using the settings

dPDFSETTINGS=/ebook.

You can edit the Ghostscript options in the ProjectWise InterPlot Organizer Configuration – Integration dialog box

PDF Creator Application (gs916w32.exe) :
