Problem Description

Customer is using InterPlot in combination with
MicroStation/J and I/RASC. Based on INGR NFM, a script is made to automating
the print process.
The result of this are Batch files that attached the raster files and creates
batch files containing IPLOT command line commands.
Goal is to archive the plot in the Digital Archive.
Suddenly this process stops working and an error message appears.

In Error log the following message appears:

The plotting process encountered a failure or the plotting process may be
terminated by the user.
main(): GetExitCodeProcess

System Error.
_DPCCleanupFiles(): GetFileAttributes
The system cannot find the file specified.

Reason

This way of working already work fine for year, but at certain time it failed working for all users within a couple of days.

Steps to Resolve

Option 1 Check Event Viewer

A Dr Watson Message appears in Event Viewer and creating of log files in
directory: C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER8bc5.dir00\compmfi.exe.mdmp|C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER8bc5.dir00

Option 2 Check Accounting file

In accounting file the print job is exited successfully.

However;
When archiving was correctly Filter Exit status lines were;
FILTER_USER_TIME=0.19s
FILTER_SYSTEM_TIME=0.18s
FILTER_REAL_TIME=3.96s
FILTER_EXIT_STAT="Filter
exited normally: Successful completion."
FILTER_EXIT_VALUE="SUCCESS"

For
the incorrect archiving only following lines appears:
FILTER_EXIT_STAT="Filter exited normally: Successful completion."
FILTER_EXIT_VALUE="SUCCESS"

Option 3 Archive check

Have checked:

1. Privileges of Archive File
2. If archive limits are not reached. Can printjobs archived
3. Invoke command PSEC 255 on plot server

Option 4 Archiving and Printing - works works what fails

What works well is.
- Start IrasC / MicroStation and submit a plot to a plotter interactively
- Start IrasC / MicroStation and submit a plot to an archive (Archive only).
- Use the Batch files what are created users script and submit the plot to a
plotter.

What does not work is.
- Use the Batch files what are created users script and submit the plot to an
archive (Archive only).  Not from the script or manually.

Option 5 Final solution

1. Installed MicroStation / J on plot server
