    Document Processors not Working

    Product(s): ProjectWise Integration Server
    Version(s): 08.11.11.574
    Area: Orchestration Framework
    Subarea: Thumbnail Extraction
Original Author: Bill Kenney, Bentley Technical Support Group

    Problem Description

When I setup jobs for Thumbnails, Indexing, and File Property Extraction, I do not get any results or apparent errors.

Upon loggingservice.log examination, the following errors are seen in the logs: pwise.database.odbc - Error 241 "ODBC ERROR: 22007: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string.

     pwise.database - Executing statement 'insert into dms_asyncstatus (o_compguid,o_docguid,o_docsignal,o_filesignal,o_asyncstamp) values ('681014dc-859b-4c25-ac5b-a813548a5ee9','f80814f9-24a4-4e63-a962-28bc9dfad905','3','3','26/03/2014T16:13:36')'

    Steps to Resolve

    1. When creating an ODBC connection User had configured "Use Regional settings when outputting currency, numbers, datetimes set to "On" - check mark enabled.  After turning this setting off - all Document Processors worked fine. A clue was the UK English time format of 26/03/2012.
    2. Snippet from Chapter on Database setup in PW SS4RU PW Implementation Guide

      5. When SQL Server is your database, make sure that when configuring your ODBC datasource you turn

OFF the setting, Use regional settings when outputting currency, numbers, dates times.
