Show Local Document Organizer on log out or when closing program

      Product(s): ProjectWise Explorer Client
      Version(s): 08.11.11.574
      Area:  MISC
Original Author: Dana Guthrie, Bentley Technical Support Group

I would like the local document organizer to show whenever the user logs out or closes ProjectWise or when user closes out of an integrated program.

    Background

You will need access to the ProjectWise user settings either via ProjectWise explorer for setting your own individual setting or via the ProjectWise Administrator to make changes for all user or a set of users.

    Steps to Accomplish

This can be accomplished by configuring the user setting ‘Show Local Document Organizer on log out’

In ProjectWise Administrator go to users, then highlight a user account, right click and choose properties then the settings tab, expand ‘User Interface’

This information comes from the ProjectWise administrator help under ProjectWise Administrator Reference, Users, User Properties Dialog, User Properties - Settings Tab - User Interface

This setting ‘Show Local Document Organizer on log out’ controls whether or not the Local Document Organizer dialog opens when a user logs out of a datasource, if that user happens to have documents currently checked out.

    • Do not show — If set, Local Document Organizer will not open when you log out of a datasource, whether you are in ProjectWise Explorer or an integrated application.
    • Show always — If set, Local Document Organizer will open when you log out of a datasource, whether you are in ProjectWise Explorer or an integrated application.
    • Show in ProjectWise Explorer only — If set, Local Document Organizer will only open when you log out of a datasource from ProjectWise Explorer.

Hint: You can set this for many users at once by either holding the control key and picking individual users, or the shift key to select a section of users, then right click, and choose properties, settings, and make the changes.
