Default attribute values not set correctly when using another PW document as template for new document

    Product(s): ProjectWise Explorer Client
    Version(s): 08.11.11.123
Area: Open / Save / Copy / Move
Original Author: Molly Watts, Bentley Technical Support Group

    Problem Description

When using the Advanced Document Creation Wizard to create a new document, and selecting the option to "Use ProjectWise document as a template", when both files exist in the same ProjectWise environment, the exact values are copying over, when they would like the default values to be used

    Steps to Resolve

    1. In the ProjectWise Administrator, browse to the environment and the specific attribute

    2. In the properties of the attribute, General tab, check on the option to "Clear attribute value when: copied inside environment"
