Issue with Bentley Connect Edition and AutoCAD 2014 Civil 3D and Civil 3D 2016 on same PC

Steps to reproduce: Install the ProjectWise Connect Edition 10.00.01.28 or 10.00.01.67, and the Add in modules installed by ProjectWise Conn Edition:

    Install the following Add-in Modules:

ACAD 2014   Addin module 8.11.11.863 (Which covers standard AutoCAd and AutoCAD Civil 3D)

    ACAD 2015 Addin module 8.11.11.863         “                       “                             “

    ACAD 2016 Addin module   8.11.11.863         “                         “                               “

    Revit 2014 Addin module 8.11.11.863           “                       “                           “

Note: the above modules are all different even though they have the same version number – Must go by “Description” and version number. The errors are brought about by the ACAD 2014 and 2016 Add in modules, in particular, along with having both Civil 3D 2014 and 2016 applications installed.

Users are getting “Customization File load failed” error messages although many points of ProjectWise Integration with AutoCAD are OK, and no “ProjectWise” on the top ACAD Ribbon.

It appears there was mixing of the files in C:\Program Data\Bentley\ProjectWise\08.11\AutoCAD\Support\en and C:\Program Data\Bentley\ProjectWise\10.00\AutoCAD\Support\en

The problem is with ProjectWise CUIX files loading into AutoCAD. Issue is with C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProjectWise folder having the 8.11 folders as well as the 10.00 folders and the files were mixed between these folders in improper form.

    Workaround:

To fix this, copy files from C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProjectWise\ 8.11 to C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProjectWise \10.00 and vice versa (i.e. making the folders contain the same files, but no .bak files to avoid creating another issue)

Example of a file to copy idacad19_1menu.cuix representing Acad 2014

Below is a summary of the steps:

     - Uninstall all the installed AutoCAD add-ins
     - Manually clean up both ‘C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProjectWise\08.11\AutoCAD\support\en’ and ‘C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProjectWise\10.00\AutoCAD\support\en’ folders (remove all the files from these folders)
     - Install the AutoCAD add-ins back (Install the addins from earliest to latest in order)
     - Apply the workaround with copying files in these folders to each other
     - Launch AutoCAD Civil 3D and verify for no error messages.
