    Setting Preview On For Microsoft Office Documents [TN]

    Overview

    You are able to view thumbnails of office documents in ProjectWise Explorer, however the property attribute of that document must be turned on.

    Setting the preview property in Office 2007

    •  Open the document and select Office Icon (top left hand of window). Select Prepare then PropertiesProperty Section

     

    • Go to the Advanced Properties

    • In the Advanced Properties go to the Summary Tab and check "Save preview picture" option.

    Setting the preview property in Office 2010

    • Open the document and select the File tab, and then Info

    • On the right pane, select Properties-Advanced Properties

    • In the Summary tab- enable "Save Thumbnails for All Word Documents"  (or in the case of Excel, "Save Thumbnails for All Excel Documents")
