User is attempting to export a series of files & attributes to Excel. The template file has been newly created. The issue is that an attribute field always appears in the Excel list as Unsupported - none of the attribute data is copied down. The particular attribute is a varchar(250) in SQL, and there are no invalid characters in any of the attribute records being exported. This database has been upgraded from ProjectWise 2004/SQL 2000 to ProjectWise XM 08.09.04.63 and SQL 2005.
Because of the design of the ProjectWise 2004 database, numerous empty attributes were created to be renamed at a later date. The particular attribute in question is called "varchar_17" but has a interface label of Sequence.
Rename the custom label to something like SEQ or something like that, so that it does not gets conflict with the standard ones. After renaming the custom attribute label, the user needs to either create a new excel template Or manually change the SEQUENCE column in the template created to new value then export.
The PW Export Import tool has list of general document attributes, in which there is also Sequence attribute ( please see the attached image). So while exporting, it gets binded with the standard attribute (i.e. the sequence no. of document) and not with the custom attribute because of the same label name.
