List the files exported from PW along with some attribute data in a spread sheetUser has about 500 files that he has exported from projectwise and would like an excel spread sheet list of those files that includes some attribute data.
First thing you need to do is create a view that includes all the data you want in your spreadsheet.In PW explorer go to View \ manage viewsClick the new button and give your view a nameChange the environment to the environment that holds the attribute data you need in your spreadsheetExpand each of the categories ( Basic, folder, environment) and add the fields to the right column, you can also put them in any order you want, then click okayIf the view tool bar is not present on your screen then go to view \ tool bar and check on viewsIn the view tool bar change the view to your newly created personal view
Now to gather the files:Click on the binoculars then choose search formIn the general tab under “status” , set it to “exported”You can add any other parameters to your search.For instance you can change the folder, and environment, add *.dgn for the file name, etc.You can also go to the attribute tab and input specific data there as well.When you are finished, click apply, if the results returned are the desired results and you want to save this search, click the saved search button and save the search. You can then rerun this search and edit it by expanding the saved search list in the left column and then expand personal.Now that you have the results highlight all the files (ctrl,a), and then right click on the selection and choose “copy list to” then “clipboard tab separated”Open an excel spreadsheet and paste the data.
