    Ustationwrapper exe is hung

      Product(s): ProjectWise Caching Server
      Version(s): Orchestration Framework
      Area:  Orchestration Framework
Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group

    Problem

Ustationwrapper.exe is hung. Attempting to restart error appears in the Event Viewer.

    Solution

Recreate shepherd.xml file by doing the following:

    1.Make a backup of your shepherd.xml file

2.Clean out the original shepherd.xml file by opening the file and
deleting all lines except the first and the last line. The file should
only have the two "<Processes>" lines

3.Restarting the Orchestration Framework service should populate
    the shepherd.xml file.

4.You may need to reboot the server to populate the shepherd.xml
    file

    Please note the following:

    • The procedure above will only work if running on a single server, otherwise the whole makeHead/makeTail process needs to be run through again.

    • If you run through the steps in the solution, and your shepherd.xml file is not repopulated with the lines it needs to launch the dmsafpengines, you will need to do a repair/modify via add remove programs on the Integration server. This process with get the lines back for the thumbnail, fulltext, and file property extractions.

    • If the user is running distribution, you may also need to run a run a repair/modify on the distribution service to get the lines back for distribution.
