I'm using ProConcrete Connect Edition 10.05.00.54
I'm trying to place a concrete recess area on the top of my panels.
What tools in the Edit Concrete Elements can i use to achieve as per diagram below?
Hi Nicole, Thanks for posting your query over the Bentley Communities Forum. In response to your issue, we recommend you to check out the Panel - Edge Inserts option
You can find more information about the same on - Regards, Alistair Lobo
Thanks Alistair, yes i can use this for the u-bar lifting device as shown in diagram, however I'm looking for how to create a concrete recess area on the top of the panels as shown in previous diagram.

you could create a solid body of the size of the recess area and substract this one.

Hi Johannes, so i tried doing that using Modelling tools to create the slab, then tried used the Edit concrete Element tool to subtract
It did not recognize my slab for the recess.to subtract. I must be doing something wrong.??
position should be all, also please send your DGN
Oh, i redid using the placing slab tool , under concrete placement , then it worked using the subtract tool. Thanks Johanne.
Now i need to chamfer (red line) 45 degrees so it looks like this:
Any suggestions?
you should be able to champfer the solid with the solid modeling tools under modeling workflow before substracting
