I use to model the continuous beams between the further supports with one beam, then I cut it with feature cut from solids to give continuity to columns, in this way I have much control with the reinforcements over supports in top of the beam and in the middle spans, but I am needing to model a monolithic slab with beams and the setdown to beam tool is unavailable for these cut beams.
