After cutting sections in my 3D model I noticed that once the 2D model is created I am getting circles on all my bent bars.
Please see the attached photo of my 2D rebar model.
Is there a way to turn these circles off in the drawing file or .sys file so that we do not have to show them? If we can't turn them off is it possible to minimize the size of them?
Hi Jeff, Thanks for posting your query over the Bentley Technical Support. In reference to your issue, have you tried hiding those rebars (the circles that appear) using the Hide Bar tool.
We believe this should resolve your issue. Please let us know if this helps you or else we can assist you further on this. Regards, Alistair Lobo
I tried this tool but it turns off the rebar as well.
In my case I still need to show these bars but without the circles.
Hi Jeff, Can you please send us a picture in which you can highlight the sections (circles) you want hidden and the length of bars associated with those that you want to retain in that drawing model. Also, can you attach your file here so that we can then check for the same. Looking forward to your update. Regards, Alistair Lobo
I have attached the photo with some arrows pointing the the circles.
Hi Jeff, Thanks for attaching this screenshot. It really helped us get clear. I have checked for the file. I believe you can set up the side of those dot bars (longitudinal bars) if that helps you. You can follow the below Wiki for this - We have set up the size of the HDIA variable mentioned in the above Wiki to 0.012 and have achieved the results as in the below picture - Please let us know if this helps your issue or if you are looking to hide the circle completely and just have the bent end to be displayed. Looking forward to your update. Regards, Alistair Lobo
