I've added a custom, parametric pier to an OBM model of a bridge I'm working on, and I'm now trying to add reinforcing steel to it; however, when I boot up the ProConcrete workflow and try to add reinforcing steel to any of the columns/caps/drilled shafts, it gives me a tooltip telling me "Element not valid for tool." I've also attempted to add the reinforcement directly into the cell file and then add the custom pier to the main model; however, all of that reinforcement goes away when I've tried that.

Hi Nicholas, Thanks for posting your query over the Bentley Communities Forum.
We will test for the attached file and will revert shortly.

Hello Nicholas, We have tested the attachment and this is a *.cel file. Can you please confirm if you are adding the ProConcrete reinforcement to OpenBridge elements or *.cel files ? Regards, Alistair Lobo
Alistair,
I've been able to add reinforcement to a copy of the original .cel file, but when I added it to the bridge model, as a parametric cell, it didn't load in the reinforcement. When included with the bridge model, though, it won't let me add any reinforcement to the cell (though I can add steel to OBM-generated elements just fine).
Hi,
Are there any updates to this query?
I am currently experiencing a similar issue when attempting to place reinforcement in .cel file.
Feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Please also be so kind and attach your .cel file

Thank you for the prompt response. Will do so once back in the office.
I am able to place reinforcement within the *.cel file but once I place the *.cell file in a concrete model, I am unable to place reinforcement, using both the "standard" reinforcement tools nor the face based reinforcement tools.

Have updated to the latest version of prostructures and am still having the same issue, that is, I am unable to Reinforce a *. cel, once placed into a model.
Has this been tested on your side and if so what has been the outcome.
Thanks in advance
Kind Regards
