Hello,
Coming from OBD and looking into the possible combination of ProStructures with OBD I started to look at the grids in PS.
I noticed there seem to be 2 independent workflows. One is the Workframe for which I found a series of YouTube videos. The other one is the 'Column Grids' which uses the same technology as OBD. We can even use the same BB_FloorMaster.dgnlib.
Now I have a very stupid question: How can I actually SEE the column grids in my model in PS? I found Wiki pages about creating them but nothing explains how to activate them in a view.
I also don't find anything related to the floor manager in PS. Does it not exist? How then to select the floor on which to work? I can of course manually create ACS but it's a rather different methodology from OBD.
Thank you for any information!
Hi,
The grid system in ProStructure works slightly different than in OBD. It is simply created it in a new model within the file and then you reference it into your main model.
ProStructures doesn't have a floor manager. BUT the Workframe works perfectly with ProStructures elements. These elements can also be linked to the Workframe, so if you require any changes to the frame the elements will adjust/shift according to the changes.
In the View tab of ProStructures it has ACS view options that allows you to orientate to elements.

Thank you Quentin for your reply, this is the Wiki I was looking for. Maybe I didn't find it simply because the workflow is so much different from OBD.
