Hello Everybody,
I have one question regarding the 3D model conversions.
I am using prostructures v8i S6 on the top of AUTOCAD.
Is it possible to convert the position numbers of the Prosteel profiles in the Navis product.Just I want to see the position number of files in the Autodesk Navis Product.
I am using Microstation and Navis products.
Most of the times our Detail Design supplier have Tekla,So they give the Microstation file and Navis file.
There is some questions from Our fabrication supplier. They mentioned a Item number of parts is missing and its a mistake like that it will be.
It is very difficult to find the Position number of elements in those models. How do I can find the the Position numbers in MIcrostaiton and Navis as well.
If there is any other options to find out easily. Please suggest any of them.
Thanks
If you use the Navisworks export tool (NWCOUT) from ACAD, you should be able to see some basic ProSteel PART data within Navisworks properties palette. Please note that it can be very difficult to produce an accurate Navisworks model of ProSteel elements. For example:1. Each part must have "Solid Kernel" display DISABLED. Parts will not be visible in Naviwsworks with Solid Kernel disable enabled. This means that some boolean modifictions will not be visible in Navisworks.2. You must have the correct ProSteel Navisworks object enabler.Check out the forum thread (link below) for further discussion on the topic.I'd be interested to hear if anyone has got this working well.
