Dear all good morning:Dose anybody know how to export Prosteel shapes *.dbf database format in to the V8i release, without having to create again? How runs currently? There is any format converter? We have allready made numerous ProSteel shapes we need for our designs.I hope yuo could help us.Thank you.Regards.
One needs to have it in MDB format, there is no direct conversion
the format to enter data in the MDB is found here
https://communities.bentley.com/products/prostructures/w/structural_drafting_and_detailing__wiki/23983/add-new-steel-sizes-to-the-shapes-database-file
you can copy complete columns from DBF to the MDB file.

Dear Johannes:I have already read the link you sent to us with this information. If I understand well, you can create a new Shape type inside Aisc_metric.mdb file ( in this case our own shapes ) and we have to copy and paste all the colums one by one from "dbf viewer"program or similar and translate to Acces format. Is this Correct? In other case if we find any DBF to MDB format converter and we can convert files. Is necesary add to Aisc_metric.mdb file or can run outside this file too?Currently we dont have Acces licence due to being a program in disuse. We have to find alternatives to run ProSteel well.
Thank you.
In each MDB there a various tables, you can add your shapes to an existing table or copy an existing one. Yes you can copy columns one by one.
It can not be run outside, however, if you maintain the format, you can copy and create a new database.
There is a free MDB viewer but this one is not very comfortable, ACCESS is easier to use.
Thank you so much Johannes.
