Directly Welded connection

Welded connection is possible, but we need to see, what exactly you want.
General procedure to make welded connections 

1. Connect members

2. Make group. 

3. This will act as a single member and you can add weld there.

I want to put welded connections to a Built-up column as show in below

yes, one sets the weld marks at appropriate places, add them to the Group and the Weld signs with the information out of the weld mark in the 3D model will appear in the 2D Drawing.
