Hi,
Is there any way to reimport nc1 files back into PS as PS elements? Or next best thing would be as generic solids?
Best regards,
Tuan Le
This is not possible as it is a pure numeric format for machines.
One needs to redraw as a Solid or a Prosteel element.
With an NC Viewer one can see and check the NC output for hole placement and contours, or open the NC with notepad for coordinates of holes etc..

Thanks Johannes. It's a shame really. It seems other steel detailing software has some sort of nc1 importing function and convert them into CAD format while PS doesn't have that functionality.
I know of only one product which can do it partially. We have a draw function, where you can have an output as Dxf for the faces of the element. An Enhancement could be done, so you can use it for the quick creation of your Element.

Hi Johannes, faces would work for now, just wondering is that function is documented somewhere?
In the HGG viewer, which is free, you can Export the NC data as an Stp file and you will get a solid when importing it in your CAD.
Thanks Johannes. I've just tried the HGG viewer and it seems to be what I'm looking for.
