Is there a way to export a file for Strumis.
We are able to create a database that Strumis can import but this is reported as being deficient in numerous ways including without links to the model.
Has anyone had success with this?
Johannes,
Thanks for your help. Do you have any additional information on the update?
Will it certainly be included in the next update?
What file type will be exported?
Will the export be a single file similar to BSWX or SMLX?
If not in the next update, is there a way for users to help this process along?
We urgently need to bring Prosteel up to current standards so that we can be seen as a real alternative rather than an excuse where we often must provide an apology for its deficiencies.
Regards,
Hi DND@ODS
I suggest you get in touch with Chris Roos at StruMIS in Perth to register your interest in the interface. This will help StruMIS to recognize that there is a demand in the market, and that Tekla doesn't own the industry
When will update 5 be available? Being able to export data to use in Strumis is becoming more important as jobs progress.
It's disappointing that it was promised in April and we still don't have the ability to easily export useful data.
Hello Ian, the Export will work in the now coming Update 5 of ProStructures. It was tested and has the wanted capacity. for now it works via IFC to Strumis.

Can I get a confirmation that I will be able to create an IFC file In update 5 with the following properties included. Process status, display class, part family. I would also love to include additional EED data but I could be dreaming.
Hello PS_XXXXXX,
These properties still yet not implemented to export to IFC. However we are hoping in next release with these properties.

This much we understand, the question remains, when will we see this update?
