Caught this vid on YT.
It looks like the clash highlighting can actually be limited to the intersecting volume, resulting is much more usable precise highlighting.
Can some one confirm if this is the case, please?
I can not seem to find anything about this in the online documentation.

In response to your query, I believe you are looking to navigate to the clashed parts being highlighted by zooming to the clash extents. You can do this by setting up an appropriate Display scaling. Thanks for the info.
What I mean by precise highlighting is highting the actual volume of both elements at the intersection.
Say a CHS tube clashes with a steel plate, then the display would highlight a ring shaped intersecting volume.
Zooming in helps but it would be better if the intersecting volumes would be displayed.
We usually prioritise the big clashes first. Sequencing the clash resolution this way is more productive.
Hi Dominic, With respect to your requirement, I would recommend you to use the Clash Detection tool which you can find in the 'Analyze' tab under the steel workflow. You can then assign your shape members in Set A & Set B and run the Clash detection command. After this, the colliding bodies / members will be highlighted for the entire volume (as per your requirement, I believe). Refer the picture below - You can then also control the display of the rest of the model, neighboring parts and attached parts as per your requirement. Thus, I suppose this will cater your requirement to the best.

Hopefully, this will change soon. The competition is offering a much better solution by providing more precise highlighting.
The example you show is a little unrepresentative of what your users will find in a real production environment.
In fact, if you look at OpenRoads SUDA they have had to add a ball at the exact clash point(s). It's not helpful to just highlight miles of road and pipe leaving the user to guess where exactly the clash point is. The same applies for buildings.

Precise Highlighting
Apologies for the late catchup.
Looking at the Wiki entry, it looks like PS already has precesion highlighting of clashes. Great!
But, as you would expect, this is a longer process. Is it possible combine the Mstn Clash run with the more precsion PS Collision Detection. So, that the PS CD tool would only have to process the element associated with a particular clash item?
