I am currently detailing some pipe handrails and posts. I have made boolean subtractions on the ends of the pipes to create the required profiles so the parts fit together and can be welded. The fabricator requires the length of the stock piece before the subtractions.
I have add user points but they don't affect the length shown. Is there a way to ignore the boolean subtraction when calculating the length of the piece?
Many thanks for this question. There is field "additional length" one can use. Use this field to get the wanted total length. In the part list editor you need to change the Length column to Length + additional length.

Thanks Johannes.
I've got the part list displaying the required length.
Is there any way to get the "total dimension" to recognize my user dimension points or can I get the "User group" to dimension end to end so that the required length is shown.
I would also like to be able to ghost in the removed material to show the piece before the profile is cut.
Thanks again.
