Hi, we are using Prosteel Prostructures V8i Selectseries 8 and would appreciate being able to produce an overall summary of material for ordering purposes.
A typical example would be:
PL.10 = 50m2
Pl.15 = 75m2
HEB300 = 240m
L.100x100x10 = 75m
Is it possible to extract this information directly from the 3d model into another format?
I look forward to your response.
This is easiest via the partlist creation
there is the BEN_ET_ordered_list_H.lst for example.
In the Partlist editor in the Group footer
one can use summe04 instead of summe03 to get the resulting paint area of element types, its in the editor under Sum variables.
to get it directly one would need to write a Makro via the Dot.Net Interface.

Hi Johannes,
Many thanks for your response, however please note the following additional queries:
1. Your screen shots are too blurred and cannot be read, please also expand on your instructions as your posted ones are a little vague.
2. Where is the BEN_ET_ordered_List_H.lst located i.e. which folder?
3. We are looking for an overall summary of material for ordering purposes, not an overall paint area.
4. An example of a typical format that we require is as my original question and preferably in .xlsx format i.e.
Please could you re-address this query and respond accordingly.
Kind regards,
Ged E
Hi Ged,
Please go through the following step by step procedure
Step-1-go to Create partlist database-select-single part list
Step-2-Refer the highlighted area for partlist folder if you did not load it by default or refer following path
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProStructures\V8i_S7\PowerProduct\WorkSpace\ProStructures\Localised\English\PartList
Step-3-Select orderlist as per your requirement
Step-4-select Xls format
Step-5-The list is look like that,the blue color indicates the total required amount of individual sections for ordering.
Step-6-You can edit the partlist definition via partlist database-setting-edit partlist definition
Step-7-Select the previous partlist definition. i.e. orderlist-double click the empty area and you can add/edit/delete the required fields as per your need
if you not found orderlist then go through the partlist suggested by Johannes .
Hope you will get all the information
We have resolved this issue through the Service Request you raised.
