Hello All
Maybe someone from Bentley, have information about the date released Prosteel for Autocad 2019. Autodesk in new contract have clausures that we can use only two version back. That's means, today we have version 2019 and we can use Prosteel for Autocad 2017. If Bentley don't give us new version, program on Autocad will be die.
Now that it is the 3rd Quarter are there any updates on the release of ProSteel with AutoCAD 2019?
Sandip, now that we are passed the mid of August, are there any updates on the release of ProSteel for AutoCAD 2019?
Hello Scott, We apologize for a delayed response. We are expecting the ProStructures Object Enabler for AutoCAD 2019 to roll out by the beginning of September, 2019.And the ProStructures for AutoCAD 2019 to be released by the end of September, 2019 tentatively.I hope this answers your query. Regards, Alistair Lobo
Alistair,
So can we expect any enhancements in this release other than being compatible on AutoCAD 2019?
Regards
I think Bentley needs to consider the difficult position this puts many of their users in. Autodesk is increasingly pushing users towards utilizing only "supported" versions (current version plus the 3 previous versions). For any of us who work in a large environment with a significant number of designers, there are several factors that make the current situation with Bentley's AutoCAD based software untenable:
When you delay releasing software for let's say... 12 months after the version of AutoCAD is released, and we go through the often arduous process of coordinating with IT and delivering the software to our users, we end up almost immediately behind in AutoCAD versions and with a contractual issue with Autodesk looming on the horizon. It's simply not a good solution for any user with more than a few designers in their firm.
Well said jwolfe! We are struggling with these exact issues!
Are the object enablers out for AutoCAD 2019 it is mid September. It is difficult navigating the new software downloads.
