Prosteel Dimensioning - Ps_DIM

Hi,

I have a detail style that's using shortening and i'm wanting to manually detail the parts using PS_Dim. I also have a specific dimension style i want to use. I know how to detail the part using PS_dim but it always starts with the incorrect dimension style. How do i get it to dimension with the dimension style of choice from the start, instead of having to manually change the style once i have the dims on the sheet?

  • Hi Daff,

Thanks for posting this query in Bentley Community Forum.

While you are placing dimension via ProSteel dimensioning,  you will get one option in the dialog box to choose the detail style and from that drop down you can select your detail style you used to create the drawing. This detail style will follow the the Dimension Style you used in that detail style which you can view. So to get your required Dimension style, first you need to set that specific dimension style in the detail style.

I hope this will resolve your issue. If you need further assistance, please do let us know.
