Currently self learning ProStructures Update 1. Trying to figure out how to place holes in the web of a built up steel girder using steel tools. Any ideas?
There are video's on Youtube and the are various chapters on Bentley Learn for your self learning.
For holes, please look perpendicular on the Beamweb and use the drilling machine.

This is what I have been doing, front view looking perpendicular to the web. Drill tool, layout single, diameter 50, click on the add drills to part tool, identify the part, locate the hole and reset to place the hole. I end up with a 50 diameter vertical hole, full height of the web in a 19 thick web instead of a 50 diameter hole perpendicular and through the 19 thick web.
You need to set the ACS, so that the Z direction of ACS is set to perpendicular of the Web. you can do this using Object ACS centered and then choose the handle perpendicular of the Web.
I hope this will clear the process of drilling holes.
