Proconcrete single rebarset bars not adjusting with variable constraints

Face based Rebar modeling is mostly used with Irregular Rebar Dispatch.

Attached is the file that I worked with. To check I used 3 method of Rebar Placement for this. These are:

• Single Rebar
  • To me this one appears to work well with Face Based Modeling. It adjusts when the variable is changed.
• Single Rebar Distribution
  • To me this one doesn't appear to as work well with Face Based Modeling. It doesn't adjust when the variable is changed.
• Irregular Dispatch Reinforcing
  • To me this work well with Face Based Modeling. It adjusts when the variable is changed. My problem with using this is that I need to have these bars in the pile locations only. I may be able to but I have not found a way with this tool to do this.

Maybe there is a better tool for this than the ones I have chosen.

Hi Keith,

Yes, Single rebarset won't work with Face Based Rebar modeling, when changed the variables. We will investigate further on this and may be it is an Enhancement need to report. I will update you further on this.

We believe you placed the rebar by choosing “Create bar by points” and for distribution path also by using “Select path by points”.

If this is true, by picking points on Intersection lines and Asso. Face there will not be any association with the FBRM elements and rebar. So that Single Rebar Distribution will not update with change in size of concrete element.
