Hi, at Elia we use SCIA Engineer and we use standard MicroStation for designing Substations in 3D inclusive Steel structures.
We want to test ProStructures to be able to have more intelligent interop with SCIA for the steel supports and "portiques".
Is there a document or user experience to share about this issue : what is the best approach/ format/ params to import/export ProStructures (or AECOSIM) to and from SCIA Engineer.
thx,
Nico
One can export/import via PS_export, PS_import and choose SCIA
but also SDNF works with Scia

Thank you Johannes, the SCIA users tell me the .pro SCIA ESA PT is a very old format that is not even supported anymore in SCIA 15.1.106. ? But there is even also a ProSteel import (in fact this is in the File open list) option in this Scia version and that has also a .pro extension. Is this .pro twice the same format ?
here is a file open screenshot
and here is import screenshot
Main issue in SDNF is that the nodes and connection points are excentric.
What is the best practice/ user experience ?
Thanks for any help in this
