Hi Experts,
Has anyone had the situation when opening a DWG file that has been created from Prosteel, there are only boxes shown on the display with text saying "Ks_shape (Pro_stahl_3D)" at the bottom of each box. They are denoted as proxy entities and even though the variable for proxy entities is set to on, it makes no difference. I have attached DWG file for your reference. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Devaraj,
What version of ProStructures you have installed and in what version this model was created/edited? Typpically you will see such Proxy boxes when opening later version ProStructures model in older version.
Your model I see is master master. I suppose your main ProSteel model is xref: C:\Users\devaraj.s\Desktop\Grinding Bridge Crane.dwg

I have installed in the version of ProSteel V8i SELECTseries 4 for MicroStation 081107S2.
The Model was Created/Edited in Same version of ProStructures.

You mean ProSteel model was created in same version of ProSteel V8i SELECTseries 4 for MicroStation 081107S2? or it was created in same version but on AutoCAD platform?
Could you upload your ProSteel model "Grinding Bridge Crane.dwg" - as this is a model giving you issues.

Looks like your model was opened in higher version of ProStructures. ProStructures models are not backwards compatible. I can view your model in later version of MicroStation V8i SS3 (it has higher version of ProStructures Object Enablers) as well as later version of ProStructures.
Are you opening this model will MicroStation? or you tried opening it with ProSteel that runs on MicroStation?
A proxy object is a block of data that is created with an ObjectARX application. By this mean objects/elements created by ProStructures too. In case you do not have required Object Enablers the Proxy Elements will show as 'boxes'.
