Look at the screenshot below. When using “From Configuration” option your 2D output will use the layers set from there.
2. From Part Description File – is a file within ProStructures that you can use to customize or control the Layers/Levels of the element that is by *assigning the part or element to a particular description.
To access or edit the Part Descriptions files.
From ProSteel Options > Dialog settings > Export Mode
After setting it to Expert mode
The “Files” option will become available. From here you can access the “Part Descriptions file”
When you open the part description file you will be able to see the a list for sample description that you can use.
You can customise this according to your own preference.
Noticed the Syntax? In the Blue Box this is how you control the layer/levels of the 3D model. You can specify the Description, Layername, Layercolor, Layerlinetype.
While the second part inside the Red box is what controls the 2D Layers/Levels
To enable the use of “Part Descirption files” as assigment of your Layers/Levels There are 4 things you need to consider.
ProSteel Options > Options > Assign Description Layer.
