In ProSteel/Prostructures we do have different ways on how we can change the Color Display of an element. We have options to use.
1. From Configuration
2. From Description File
3. From Part Family
4. From detail Style
1. From Configuration - The 2D file will produce drawing and get the color assignment from the ProSteel Options.
2. From Description File - With help of the description-file Pro-st3d.fdf all elements can receive specific settings including levels and colors for both modeling and detailing.
It is best explained by looking at the links below.

3. From Part Family - Part Family is another tool within ProSteel/Prostructures. You can make use of it to organise ProSteel Objects, these includes assignment of Prefix, Colour, Linetype and Detail style.
4. From Detail Style - Whatever you have set under this option will be applicable to the ProSteel objects you have assigned it to. Please note that you need to make the changes first in the Detail Style save it and then reassign the objects to see the changes. I suggest that if you want to see the changes, do a 2D preview, make the changes, use the preview button to see the changes. Once you are satisfied you may save the changes in the Detail Style. The next time you make use of the Detail Style the following changes will hen be applied.
