3.2 connections

  1. To prepare the first connection the column must be extended to the top.
This can be done by using the grip of the shape.

  2. Start the endplate connection and click first beam then column

On tab -Moment- choose the third template.
(the tabs DIN18800 and Moment are standards related to the first selected shape
of the connection - not all shapes have standards available. So these two tabs
    don't appear for all shapes)

On page group make sure group is on including bolts.

  3. For the connection in the front you need to extend the beam by 100mm.
-move the snap to the front and key in 100 for X followed by enter
-now a left click in direction of the shape

  4. Start the endplate again this time first selecting the column then the beam.
And following values for the layout:

  5. Last thing to do is cutting the beam at the front.
Change to a side view of the frame by using object view centered.
Now start the element modification dialog.

Here on the first tab start cut at line.

Select the beam. Then the cutting line (can be a line or any edge of a ProSteel Object)
And finally the side which should be cut.

  6. Start Baseplate connection and select the left column.

Choose the first entry under standards.

Tab layout, set thickness to 30 and switch on groups and bolts for groups.

To have the settings complete here the screenshots for the holes though
it should be preset by the choosen standard.

On page Connect switch on -With Tie Bolts- as well as -In bolt Partlist.

Now you can close the dialog and start base plate connection again for
the other column. All settings should still be the same.

To adjust a connection the easiest way is to mark the connection plate
(for double end plates the one of the first selected shape) and open via
right click the context menu. There should be an entry PS change connection.
