Overview

Detail Center Express allows user to create fully Automatic drawing starting from Detail Style Selection, Drawing Border selection to  Sheet Size and then creating 2D drawings. Through DC Express one can generate Single drawings per Single Sheet or multiple drawings in Single Sheet through dispatch Detail.

This document will explain how to Dispatch detail of multiple Groups to a single sheet.

Method

This example will explain how and what different ways one can dispatch groups and Group Details in one or several sheets.

1. To start with, first need to ensure to check on/off the options in the First page. This is the important page to start with DC Express.

Little explanation about the highlighted options

Prepare Detailing - This is mandatory option, which need to be checked on, otherwise detailing will not be started.

Single Parts -  By checking on  Single Parts,  you can connect loose Single parts and group parts with detail styles

    Groups
- By checking on for Groups, you can connect standard groups and subgroups with detail styles

Assemblies and views - Since we are discussing on 2D drawings for groups, these two options is not checked on here. However by checking on, you can connect assemblies and views with detail styles.

Detail all visible parts in Parts browser - This will allow detailing of all which are visible in parts browser. if one want to detail particular groups, then can filter it out to display only those groups and then detailing      will work for those.

Single Sheet - this needs to be checked on, otherwise drawing will not be created.

2. Next important page, on this point  is "Create Single Sheet 2D Detail Drawings". Here one can decide drawings should be generated for single drawing in single sheet or multiple drawings in single sheet.
Since we need to generate a single sheet which accommodate multiple drawings, the Dispatch Details on the drawing option is checked on. If one select Automatic Single Sheet Details, then it will generate single      drawing in single sheet.

3. By checking on Dispatch Details in the last page, next Page with  "Insertion Options will be activated which will decide, how to insert the groups or group parts or single parts to the sheet. This is very important page and based on the option selection here, the drawings can be achieved in different ways. How many ways one can get the drawings are illustrated below

By Assemblies - If this option is checked on, one can get single per single assembly with all its details and single parts belonging to that assemblies .

By GroupsIf this option is checked on, one can get single sheet per single group with all its details and single parts belonging to that group only.

By increasing position number - Through this option, the created detail blocks are sorted ascending by their position number and then inserted into the drawing.

Insert Separated by  Single, Group, View - By selecting this option, Single parts, group details and overviews are inserted separately on different drawings. One or more option  can be checked.
Through this option only, one can get the drawings of group with details in single sheet whatever maximum can be accommodated in a single sheet.

Some of the example drawings are attached for reference. this drawing is generated by selecting 3rd option, "Insert Separated by Single, Group, View.
