While modelling in the Concrete environment, there may be instances which require to place a rebar distribution in a single direction. This can be accurately achieved by the ‘Single Rebar Distribution’ tool. This tool will also allow you to control the start & end offsets, layout method as well as spacing between the rebars. In a similar manner, you can define the end conditions in a dedicated section in the same tool. This document will guide you on how to create Single Distribution Rebars for any pattern.
1) Create a concrete shape (in this case, a slab, and place the shape line and guide line as per your requirement. [Shape line – The path along the shape length of Rebar] [Guide line – The path along which the rebar will be distributed]2) Now navigate to Home > Rebar Placement > Single Rebar Distribution 3) The ‘Single Rebar Distribution’ dialog box will open, here you need to select the ‘Select Concrete Element to attach’ option and select the concrete shape that you want rebars for.4) Then click on the ‘Select object to define bar’ option and select the shape line of the rebar.NOTE – In this dialog box you have two methods to define the shape line and guide / path line(a) Select object to define bar : Here you just need to click on an already existing line or poly line and then right click(b) Define bar : Manually define a path for the line of the rebar 5) After choosing the shape line for the rebar, go to the ‘Distribution’ section and select the ‘Select object to define bar’ and select the path of the rebar that you want the distribution along.6) You can also place the shape line & guide line by the Define bar option where in you can define the shape & guide lines by manually defining points along the path. 7) The Single Rebar Distribution is now placed as required. After this say OK and you are good to go.In this manner, you can place Single Rebar Distribution rebars for any paths, simple or complex in a very easy manner.
