    Overview

Sometime it is needed to change the Rebar Code when already we are in the middle of the project. This can be done via Rebar/Concrete code, but it will delete the existing Bar Mark if any. But at the same time it will give user the opportunity to choose which Bar size to convert to which Bar size of changed code. Also by doing only in one location it will change all for the same bars in the model. This document will explain how to change the Rebar Code in the middle of the project.

    Method

    Please follow the below steps.

    1. In Concrete Workflow go to Utilities > Rebar/Concrete Codes and it will open up with ProConcrete Codes Manager.

    2. Now for example if it is needed to change to another Code, right here "RebarCode<ACI_Si>". So to do that right click and select Set as Current. By agreeing this program will give you the prompt saying that this action will delete the existing Bar Marks and existing Rebar factory.

    3. When you say Yes, one new dialog box will open up to allow user to select the Rebar size from the new Rebar code compared to existing one. You can choose from here the equivalent size or as per your requirement. It will show all the Rebars used in the model in Source side and then from Target side you need to select what you want.

After mapping all the existing Rebars to the changed code, you can see that Bar Mark will also get changed. For better clarification see the Video linked with this document.
