    Problem Description

Not able to create Assembly out of multiple Groups

    Steps to resolve

Please follow below steps to make an Assembly from several Groups and Single parts

For the sake of explanation the following example is taken in which Groups and Single parts are there.

Now this complete structure need to make Assembly.

    1. Go to Steel Workflow > Home > Classification and click on  Groups which will open up with Administrate Group dialog. Now from the top menu, click on Assembly  and then click on Create Assembly.

    3. It will then ask to Identify all parts of Assembly. So select all the parts and then Accept
    4. Then it will ask to identify Object to align the assembly. So select one of them which you want to align.
    5. After selecting the part, Assembly properties dialog box will come up.
    6. Under the Assembly Data > Data, provide a name to idetify this Assembly. Also you can assign Part Family and others according to your requirement and then say Ok.

    7. When you check PS properties for that particular part, you will get the Assembly highlighted as below.

    8. Also when you go to detail center you will find the Assembly is there in Parts Browser. You can Preview it and later can create drawing also.

In this way one can make assembly out of several Groups, Sub Groups and Single Parts.
