    Background Information

Insertion of arc sections of curved shape members.

    Method

    1) To place arc sections or curved shape members, you need to open the Shapes dialog box in Home > Steel Placement > Shapes.

    2) In the Shapes dialog box, click on the Bent Shapes and then select the shape class & size of your requirement.

    3) Now, to insert you have two options, either by selecting an already created arc, or by manually defining the arc points along which you want the curved member inserted.

    4) On choosing one of the given placement options, you can insert curved shape members in your ProSteel model just like any other normal steel shape.

In this manner, you can place any steel shape member available in your shape catalog including I-sections, pipes, equal & unequal channel sections, etc.
