Before you begin, please note the following:

• Review the End-User License Agreement (or EULA) carefully during the installation of ProStructures. By installing this release, you agree to the terms and conditions of the agreement. A copy of the End User License Agreement named "EULA.pdf" will be included in the "ProStructures" folder of the product installation. By default, this location is "C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures\V8i\AutoCAD 200_\EULA."
• Before installing ProStructures, be sure to fully read this document as well as the Requirements and QuickInstall documents, where you can find critical information important to your installation. Consult the Bentley Web site for the latest information on this and other Bentley products.
• AutoPLANT 8.11.6.30 must be installed before ProStructures 8.11.2.23. The reverse installation sequence will cause an error when loading ProStructures from AutoPLANT via AutoPLANT 3D>Structural command. If ProStructures 8.11.2.23 was installed before AutoPLANT 8.11.6.30, then ProStructures should be uninstalled and then reinstalled.
• When both ProStructures 8.11.2.23 and AutoPLANT 8.11.6.30 are installed on the same machine, then launching ProStructures from its desktop icon will not launch the ProStructures program directly. Instead, it will launch AutoPLANT from which the user must then load ProStructures via AutoPLANT 3D>Structural command.
• Since AutoPLANT 8.11.6.30 does not support AutoCAD 2010, it should not be installed with ProStructures 8.11.2.23 running on AutoCAD 2010.

Installer Note

ProStructures is designed so it can be installed and safely coexist on the same workstation as an existing ProStructures Release. It will not attempt to upgrade or uninstall an existing commercial release, and by default it installs its program files to different locations than the commercial release. When you install ProStructures V8i it creates the registry entries responsible for file associations. ProStructures also creates the registry keys for VBA-initiated launching.

Directory Structure

The default directory structure of ProStructures has changed slightly from older versions in order to improve administration of the software and to better conform to Microsoft Windows standards.

ProStructures's program files are now installed by default to C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures 3D\V8i\AutoCAD 200_ .........
