Exporting an existing XML Section File
Hi cfenichi. I was merely the secretary for this article, I'm not a subject matter expert on this. Could you please post your question in the appropriate Structural Drafting and Detailing forum for better visibility? I think it would be this one:
I have an issue that I do not know how to solve and I was hoping that you could help me.
Lets say I create section X (solid round with diameter 100) with the help of "StructuralShapesTemplate_mm.xls", export it to XML and then draw some members with this section.
After drawing 50 members I realize that section X should have been solid round with diameter 200. I go in the "StructuralShapesTemplate_mm.xls", modify the diameter, export it to XML and then go in the model where I drew members with X section.
I would like all the members drawn with X section to update from 100 diameter to 200 diameter. How do I do that?
Your help would be highly appreciated.
Useless. I just need to create a 'Z' purlin of a particular size (not the one provided) and I have to edit XML files in some coded way?! So much for GUI!
