    Deleting Rebars by Element ID

    Product(s): ProStructures, ProConcrete
    Version(s): CONNECT Edition (10.XX.00.XX)
    Environment: N/A
    Area: Concrete
    Subarea: Rebar Placement
Original Author: Alistair Lobo, Bentley product Advantage Group

    Problem

Sometimes, in the course of modelling, the rebars might get corrupted or might come up with some strange issue and deleting them by the conventional method may result in the application getting crashed. In such cases, you can use the Key-in command and delete the same without crashing the application.

This Wiki will guide you on how to delete corrupted rebars by using Key-in command.

    Solution

    1) In the model, check for the Rebar Element IDs of the rebars that you want to delete and note the same.

    2) Now, navigate to the HOME tab > in the COMMON TOOLS section, click on Key-in. Then enter the Key-in as ‘analyze element deletebyid (####)’ and click the ENTER button.
    ####
    - number as mentioned the Rebar element ID of the bar to be deleted.

The rebar will then get deleted from the model.

In this manner, you can delete the rebars that otherwise might not be deleted by the conventional method of ProStructures Delete command.
