      Product(s): ProStructures
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition (10.XX.00.XX)
      Area: Import/Export

    Overview

In this Wiki, we are going to learn how to upgrade multiple DGN files of the lower version of ProStructures (e.g. PS_CE_U2) files to the higher version of ProStructures (e.g. PS_CE_U3) files by “Batch Process” tool.

    Method

Please follow the below steps to achieve this.

    1. Launch a higher version of ProStructures application and create a new file.

    2. Now, go to Backstage > File > Tools and click on the Batch Process.

    3. In the Batch Process, dialog box click on “Add Files or Directories to Process” icon.

    4. Now browse and select the lower version PS files and click on the Done button.

    5. Select multiple files in the Process Tasks and click on the “Process Batch Process Job” icon.

    6. “Files to Process” dialog box will open, here click on the Process button. It processes all DGN files one by one.

    7. After the process is completed click on the Done button.

    8. Now go to the original file location, there you can see all files get converted into newer version by “Batch Process” with their backup files.

In this way, we can upgrade multiple files of the lower version of ProStructures to the higher version of ProStructures by the “Batch Process” tool.

Note: You can also upgrade ProStructures file in ProjectWise by using Batch Process. But please note that in ProjectWise, the batch process does not create backup files.
