    How to set an ACS horizontally to inclined members in the model?

    Overview

    In the models sometimes we use inclined members and want to set an ACS to those inclined members as horizontal. So this document will explain how to set an ACS horizontally to an inclined member.

    Method

    Please follow the below steps to achieve this.

    1. Suppose, we have inclined members in the model as shown in the below figure.

    2. Under the Steel workflow, in the View ribbon tab go to ACS View > dropdown arrow of Object View Centered and here click on the Face View Centered.

    3. Now, click on the inclined member, it will ask you to pick the orientation. Pick the orientation point.

    4. After this, you can see the ACS is horizontally set with the inclined member.

    In this way, we can set the ACS horizontally to the inclined member.
