Overview

When there is a requirement to calculate the weight of elements or elements with some modifications , one needs specific tool to calculate this geometrical value.
ProSteel doesn’t have such in built tool  to calculate the weight. So, with the help of ‘PST Weight’ tool you can easily calculate the weight of any steel elements.

In this wiki, we will learn how to use this tool.

Method

1.  First select the tool and select element of which weight needs to be calculated or select all parts from the model.



2. The weight calculation dialog box will appear giving the weight weight and total count of elements.This tool has capability of showing weight of elements with or without bolts. (Refer the image below).



3. If you click on ‘Load details’ option from the dialog box, the dialog box will expand in here, you can find the weight of elements depending upon their material, shape type, display classes etc.



4. In this way, ‘PST Weight’ tool can be used for detailed weight and volume calculation of elements.
