Changing the Inner Diameter value of the Washers

      Product(s): ProSteel
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition (10.XX.00.XX)
      Area: Steel Placements
      Subarea: Bolts, Washers
Original Author: Vyanktesh Nama, Bentley Product Advantage Group

    Problem Description

In the partlist for washers, we are getting the description with different diameter value which is not equal to the bolt diameter. You can see the below image.

This description is actually of the inner diameter of the washers that are reading from the database file (e.g. NZ.mdb).

    Steps to resolve

Please follow the below steps to achieve this.

    1. Open the NZ.mdb database file from the below location
    Path: DriveName:\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures CONNECT Edition\ProStructures\Default\appl\MechanicalFasteners\Bolts

    2. Open the table NZ_Washers_88s and change the INNERDIAM same as DIAMETER (diameter of bolts). Once done, close the database file.

    3. Now, relaunch the ProStructures application and place bolt. Then generate a partlist for bolts and washers. Here we can see the diameter description for the washer is showing the same bolt diameter.

In this way, we can change the inner diameter value of the washers as per our requirements.
